Late 1930s Movie Ads from Exhibitor's Guides

I run the Pre-Code Movies page on Facebook and I have tons of magazine scans and digitally saved photos from that era to keep the page going! I also have lots of scans from 1935-1939 (actually, into 1962, but for the sake of this post 1935-1939!) Here are a few bits of gorgeous eye candies I have found in exhibitor's newspapers such as Film Daily. Enjoy.

  2. Love these. Something about the Bette Davis "Front Page Woman" one really stands out to me. These days you don't often see an ad/promotion with the woman's face so shielded by print. And yet her beauty is what I noticed even before reading the huge red words. <3
